Blue Marsh Lake Largemouths

Blue Marsh is a tough lake at times to find the bass on but on other days you can have a good day and put a limit on the boat in a few hours. I caught one of these by slow rolling a black single spin Colorado blade spinner bait under a fallen tree. It was more of a log really but sure enough the bass was at the base and I saw him come out from under the log and hammer the bait. It was Awesome to see.
The second one was caught on a 5"SENKO on the edge of a creek channel in the middle of the lake. This lake gets pounded on every weekend so the bank fishing is tough. If you can find ledges and structure in the not so obvious spots you can have a productive day. The PA fish commission now has some man made structure maps on their web site that will show you where some structure is. This time of year "November" the lake is drawn down about 6 or 8 feet and you can see some of this structure exposed so its not a bad time just to go around and mark some spots for the spring time bass bite.

If you're looking for fishing tips for Fishing N.E. PA Drop me line

Blue Marsh, Marsh Creek, Beltzville Lake all can be very productive lakes in the fall if fishing the correct pattern. October is what I like to call Frogtober as Zoom frogs get the fish stirred up pretty well.
